Metal Detecting News #63
Hi, and welcome to the latest edition of Metal Detecting News. Thanks for stopping by!
The big news from this week is that the two no-frills events for the Rodney Cook Memorial are already sold out!. I managed to snag my tickets when they went on sale Thursday night, so hopefully I will see some of you in September at the events.
A massive thanks to all our amazing sponsors, RUTUS, Treasure Hunting Magazine, Composite Cleaning Pencil, AMDS and The Big Detecting Show for their continued support.
See you in the fields!

News this week from …
RCM sells out almost immediately!
That’s right the two No Frills events announced for September were sold out a couple of hours after going on sale. Congrats to those who managed to get tickets, commiserations to those who didn’t, but keep an eye on their website in case they add any more or have any returns.
As featured on last week’s Big Detecting Show we have a new finds app, iPhone only at the moment but the developer is working on a bunch of initial feedback and will be looking to launch an Android version very soon too! My Finds is packed with great features, is very good value, and you can find it in the iPhone app store.

10K Steps Is a Myth–Try This Instead
When motivation is lacking, jumping into heavy routines is the fastest way to burn out. That’s why millions of people are turning to walking as the foundation of their fitness journey.
Walking lets you enjoy the outdoors, clear your head, and practice mindfulness. It’s simple, sustainable, and can support lasting weight loss if you know how much you need. The “10,000 steps a day” rule is outdated; everyone’s lifestyle is different.
With Simple, you’ll get access to habit-based coaching that’s helped users lose over 18 million pounds. Take the quiz to discover your personalized walking target.
Tithe Maps are available online for most areas of the England and Wales through TheGenealogist website, it’s on their Diamond subscription and they often have free trials on so worth a look.
